Wood Wall

Install section of Construct!

September 30, 2001

The basis of the New England Classic product line is a modular stile and rail system with various panel inserts made from veneered hardwood over an MDF substrate. It is pre-designed to fit specific requirements and sizes so that installation time is reduced dramatically.

By modularizing the system, the time-consuming process of customizing a fine hardwood wall finish system is available for smaller budgets. It reduces the cost of hardwood interior detailing by half and represents a model of how profitable remodelers use innovative methods and materials to do more with less and create a beautiful product at an affordable price.

The final product is installed in hours rather than days.

Step 1. After installing the base rail, begin slipping in stiles and panels.
Step 2. Slip the panels into the groove at the top of the bottom rail.
Step 3. Apply a few dabs of adhesive on the back of the panels to hold them in place.
Step 4. The top rail will hold all the panels and stiles to the wall.
Step 5. Nail top rail into place.
