BetterGrain, Better Finish for Vinyl Windows
Harvey Building Products will introduce a premium BetterGrain vinyl finish option for its Energy Star qualified Tribute Windows. It will be available in March
February 17, 2010
The company says the new finish is a revolutionary dual-process painted wood grain finish that mimics the qualities of natural wood more authentically and effectively than veneers, laminates, foils or other alternatives on vinyl. The two-step process (by which vinyl is colored to precise specifications, then layered with graining and slight texturing unique to specific woods) can yield pine, Red Cedar and dark oak finishes. These can be combined with window features such as contoured sash and glazing beads.
