In response to continued and sustained demand for indoor-outdoor living, Western Window Systems has announced its Series 9500 Bi-Fold Door will be available through the company’s volume program in early 2014. Aimed at large home builders—those who build more than 50 units a year—the volume program has been successful thanks to the innovative design of Western products, 10-day lead times, and competitive pricing.

“Adding the bi-fold door option was the next logical step in this program,” said Jason Funk, president of Western Window Systems, in a release. “Builders have been clear in their desire to offer this kind of door to homebuyers. The demand this program has been serving is one of the biggest reasons we have quadrupled in size in the last few years and, by continuing to offer new products, we expect to see that growth continue for a long time.”

Crafted with dual-pane glass and thermally broken, recycled aluminum, Series 9500 Bi-Fold Doors are assembled by hand at the company's factory in Phoenix, Ariz. Additional design features include narrow door stiles that allow for more glass and better views; a concealed locking system integrated into the door stiles to allow for a clean contemporary look; and a variety of high-quality finishes.

Since its inception, the volume program has seen as much as 80-to-90 percent of the homebuyers in select markets opt to upgrade for Series 600 Multi-Slide Doors. In fact, Western has found its volume-program doors to be a profit center that leads homebuyers to opt for other upgrades such as pavers and outdoor barbecues, among others.
