These new fittings — designed for joining cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing in potable water and radiant applications — use the same tools as Viega’s bronze PEX press system. The proprietary Smart Connect feature allows the installer to quickly spot unpressed connections during pressure testing by flowing water past the fitting on a missed connection. Fitting sizes range from 3/8 in. to 2 in. and include couplings, elbows, tees, lav adapters, and closet adapters.
