Simpson Strong-Tie Strong Frame

October 15, 2010

Simpson Strong-Tie has expanded its line of Strong Frame ordinary moment frames with a 16-foot tall column and 14- , 18- and 20-foot wide beams, giving remodelers greater design flexibility for larger openings, wider interior clear spans and retrofit solutions. Strong Frame moment frames are recommended for standard wall bracing, garagefront and balloon-framing applications. Strong Frame units are bolted together, which reduces costs by eliminating the need for an on-site welder or a special welding inspector.
