Made of coated carbon steel, these screws were designed for use with composite and encapsulated-composite decking. The Type-17 point drills through deck boards faster, and the screw trim pan head and threads reduce the mushroom effect of most screws for a clean look. Corrosion protection is courtesy of a Quik Guard coating. The Dexxter is available in a variety of colors to match any manufacturer’s decking products; there is also a carbon-steel model available.
