DUROCK cement board Next Gen’s lighter weight and increased recycled content formulation provides contractors with a smarter and lighter backerboard. According to the company, it increased recycled content by 40 percent, so it uses less energy-intensive raw materials. And, since it is lighter weight, more board on a truck leads to fewer trucks on the road…and fewer backaches. A Ducker Worldwide comprehensive market research study found the next generation of DUROCK cement board was easier to carry, cut and fasten, and as a result installed 20 percent faster.
