Models Speak For Themselves
| The Builder Pack, with three radio transmitters, three yard signs and a microphone, can be purchased for $1,038 from Radio Technologies. The firm also can arrange to have a professional record a tailor-made script. |
Old school: Leave a box of leaflets outside for interested buyers who drive by when your models or spec homes are closed.
New school: Broadcast messages to car radios from tabletop radio transmitters within each home. With the aid of a reasonably priced package from Radio Technologies in Fond du Lac, Wis., some builders and Realtors are doing just that.
"We have found that ActRadio has improved our efficiency," says marketing coordinator Carolyn Hasenoehrl of Quadrant Homes in Bellevue, Wash. "If our sales agent is out of the office touring another site, the radio can give the customer reliable information about the home and the development that is right to the point."
A yard sign alerts people to tune to 1610 AM, where they can hear a message up to five minutes in length on a permanent loop.
