SlateTec’s new natural-slate roof assembly system layers grade S1 slate over a recyclable high-tech polymer interlayment, providing a solution that reduces roof weight and the number of slate pieces used by approximately 40 percent. SlateTec is priced similar to imitation slates and to the few lightweight slate methods presently available, according to the company.
