MonierLifetile Smog-Eating Tile
Smog-Eating Tile incorporates a photocatalytic agent that helps break down nitrogen oxide molecules, reducing their impact on the environment.
MonierLifetile’s latest concrete roof tile product, Smog-Eating Tile, incorporates a photocatalytic agent (titanium dioxide) that helps break down nitrogen oxide molecules, reducing their impact on the environment. When exposed to sunlight, the catalyst speeds up the oxidization process, resulting in reduced pollution. The photocatalytic properties also help keep the roof clean by destroying organic substances that come into contact with the tile. The dirt and algae are simply rinsed off by rain.
Editors’ Comments: Any builder or remodeler with a strong green message should think about adding products like the Smog-Eating Tile to its offering. Several large national builders have done so.
