Consider the so many other types of roofing not just the basic price sensitive run of the mill. Being in the Natural Slate business myself I would like to bring this naturally beautiful option to your attention. The option of adding a different character to your home is an added selling feature that may just separate you from all the rest. Bringing it down to one common denominator "price" should not be the way to go. Design, crafsmanship... basically uniqness can equal additional profit.

I'm suprised that you all did not mention endurashakes. They are real wood but never need to be treated with "extractives" like cedar. Are there not alot of roofers using this?
