The key feature of home theater lighting is centralized control. Wireless controls are a great option. You can easily set them up with your existing lighting scheme.
Then you need two types of lighting, ambient and task.
For ambient (all-over, indirect) illumination try twin torchieres. If you have molding or high cabinets then try rope lights. You can tuck them into a variety of spaces. Sconces are also a great space saver.
Direct, strong lighting is essential for reading and other tasks. Both table and floor lamps can be ideal for this. Try a combination torchiere for an all-in-one solution.
