(Thanks Geico, for putting the caveman back in the spotlight. Not so much for the innane sitcom.)
Just to recap: This week I'm posting the "Alternate Influentials," an add-on to our February cover story. (Read my first blog about it here. Read about the first Alternate here.)
Toss this one in the fun idea bin. Our mission was to find the roots of the remodeling industry -- to look for those people that created the foundation of what we see today. So I figured who better than the Caveman? He invented the wheel (without which you couldn't have the pick-up truck contractor) and after all, the first hammer was nothing more than a rock. Besides, you know that Mrs. Caveman had the first honey-do list.
Why he didn't make the list: I don't think anyone else really got onboard with this one. It probably was just a little too out there and maybe just a tad too silly.
