Jonathan Sweet - Remodeling Notes

Jay Sweet
As senior editor of Professional Remodeler, a lot of information crosses my desk. This blog will be a chance to share some of that with you, with an immediacy not possible with a monthly magazine. It's also your chance to tell me what you think about what I have to say. Whether you agree or disagree, I hope you won't be shy.

The American Society of Interior Designers and the U.S. Green Building Council officially introduced their new green remodeling guidelines Friday at the ASID's Interiors 08 conference. The guidelines are organized by project type (10 total including kitchen remodel, finished basement, etc.) and include case studies and strategies for each one, along with general standards. With most standards thus far focusing on new commercial and residential construction, it's nice to see some love for the residential remodeling market.

And for the love of green don't print them out  ... at 182 pages, that'd be a decidely "ungreen" thing to do.
