Why they're Innovators, Part Five

For my final Innovators blog, the focus is on Tricia Sinn, president of Sinn Design Build in St. Louis.
The unique way Sinn has of interacting with its high-end clients is what set them apart when we were evaluating this year's potential Innovators. Simply put, we really liked the whole "your project needs a business plan" approach. By locking in choices early, the company keeps project costs down. (In that way, Sinn is similar to Casa Linda Remodeling and One Week Bath, covered in Parts two and three above.) By presenting these choices as part of a business plan, Sinn underscores their importance.
If there's one common trait that runs across all of our Innovators, it's dealing with the changing market. They're all variations of finding better ways to control the process, lowering costs and increasing efficiency. In the end, that's what every company needs to do to be successful.
So now you've seen how we selected this year's Innovators. Think you should make next year's list? Send me a note at Jonathan.Sweet@reedbusiness.com and tell me what separates you from others in the industry.
