Foreclosure's Impact on Crime

We all know that increased foreclosure rates mean more crime, which drives down property values, which means more foreclosures, which means more crime ...

CNN.com has an interesting story today on Slavic Village in Cleveland, apparently the most foreclosed-upon neighborhood in the country. The empty homes in the neighborhood are prime targets for people looking for copper and other building materials, which is leading to other crimes as well.
