Jonathan Sweet - Remodeling Notes

Jay Sweet
As senior editor of Professional Remodeler, a lot of information crosses my desk. This blog will be a chance to share some of that with you, with an immediacy not possible with a monthly magazine. It's also your chance to tell me what you think about what I have to say. Whether you agree or disagree, I hope you won't be shy.

I thought this was going to be a typical slam piece on remodelers, but it turned out that NBC actually did a fairly good job with this report.

Basically, they pointed out the dangers of using unlicensed/low-bid contractors (rip-offs, drug users, sex offenders, etc.) and why a homeowner should hire an established, reputable firm. In other words, a great message that any good remodeling firm should want out there. A great selling tool if you're competing against the fly-by-night pick-up truck guys!
