Environmental Stoneworks Names New President, CEO
Stone veneer manufacturer Environmental StoneWorks (ESW) announces that Charles Stein has joined the company as president and chief executive officer

Stein brings strong building products industry experience to the position as well as a proven track record of growing businesses. Prior to joining ESW, Stein worked at Owens Corning for 12 years where he served as president of the Masonry Products business. In that position, he had global responsibility for Cultured Stone and other branded manufactured stone veneer products produced in five different facilities both in the United States and Europe. Additional prior experience includes general management and executive sales and marketing positions with Boral Bricks, Inc., Adell Plastics, Inc. and General Electric Co. “We are very pleased to welcome Chuck to Environmental StoneWorks. Our goal is to become the market leader in manufactured stone veneer. We believe that Chuck’s extensive industry experience and strong growth track record will be a major asset in helping us achieve that milestone,” said Charlie Gallagher, co-chairman of the board.
Stein also has served as president of the Masonry Veneer Manufacturers Association from 2006 to 2008 and spent five years on the Policy Advisory Board for Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies. He holds a masters of business administration degree in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago and a bachelor of science in industrial engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
