If interest in spirituality and wellness continues, you might soon be fielding calls from homeowners looking for holistic remodels. For now, Aurel Solomon, owner of Heaven on Earth Inc., has a head start in the holistic building niche.
The Evanston, Ill.-based company frequently receives calls from allergy suffers as well as homeowners looking for more comfortable and less imposing designs. Heaven on Earth uses nontoxic materials and will construct according to the principles of both Feng Shui and Sthapatya Veda.
Solomon, who started Heaven on Earth because of his interest in holistic building, sees great growth potential in this market once consumers become aware of its availability.
"I think it’s going to take some time and money to promote it," Solomon says. "The common [misconception] is you don’t want to do that because it’s way more expensive. That’s not true."
