Most remodelers readily admit that word of mouth is their best source of leads, and a recent survey by the National Association of Home Builders backs them up. The study shows that almost two-thirds of consumers use suggestions from friends, relatives and neighbors in their search for a remodeling contractor - more than triple the next most-often cited source, the consumer’s own previous experience with the remodeler.
Despite increased use of the Internet across the country, it was the last resource mentioned by consumers looking for remodelers.
