Although the Simply Insulate Web site (www.simplyinsulate.com), created by the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association, is directed toward consumers, remodelers can use it to help sell jobs and offer clients extra service. The "Insulation Pays" feature allows you to choose your state from a drop-down menu and then takes you to a list of utility, state and local programs offering contractor and/or homeowner incentives for incorporating energy-efficient upgrades into new and existing single-family and multifamily homes. For each program, the site includes a summary page outlining eligibility, amount of incentive and type (such as a loan or rebate), inspection and documentation requirements, and how to begin redeeming the incentives.
