Web Site Lets Builders Trade Cut, Fill Dirt

Online Resources

October 31, 2003

DirtToGo.com is a Web site to remember if you run into problems with too much cut or too little fill. The site allows builders to match cut and fill sites by geographic proximity and trade excess dirt to where it's most useful.

Once you register, create an account page and post your listings, the site's search wizard continually scans the database for nearby matches to dirt offers and requests. When you see the number of matches to your offers or requests, you can click on a match to pick up the contact information for the DirtToGo.com client who posted it.

You also can narrow the search by dirt type or other features and constraints.

You can visit the site as a guest to check it out before deciding if you want to register and try it live.
