USG Sheetrock UltraLight Panels

The lightest ½-inch gypsum wallboard panel available (1.2 to 1.4 lbs./sf), Sheetrock UltraLight Panels from USG are up to 30 percent lighter than traditional gypsum panels.  The panels are for use in non-fire rated applications such as new residential and repair and remodel construction and can be used on ceilings with 24-inch-on-center frame spacing when water-based texture is applied.

Editors’ Comments: Lighter drywall means less fatigue for installation crews, which can result in improved productivity.
