New ceiling fans are a quick way to add value to a home. The same rules that apply to updating lighting fixtures periodically apply to ceiling fans. However ceiling fans offer additional benefits that translate into selling points. They make a home more comfortable by:

1. Saving on energy costs – Ceiling fans increase the efficiency of cooling and heating systems. During the summer, a ceiling fan can reduce the perceived temperature of a room by as much as 8° F. The thermostat can be adjusted accordingly.
