Good news in home building

Yesterday was one of the rare good news days we’ve had in the home building industry over the last several months. April numbers show that while new home prices are 10% below a year ago, sales have made a sharp increase. (Do you think the price drop and sales increase are related?) CNNMoney.com had a great article that showed what was happening and also listed communities that would be winners and losers in the long run. Click here to see article.

Today, on one of the morning shows I saw a positive report about new home building. That was refreshing. I also understand from the Inman News Service reporting that Emile Haddad, the chief investment officer for Lennar Home Builders asked a group of journalists at the Society of American Business Editors and Writers in Anaheim if they could just write about having reached the bottom of the turnaround, we could get some more sales going. Well, guess what? As much as we would like that process to work, the actual process is: Good news gets good press coverage, which will generate more good news. The process is not good press coverage makes good news, which generates more good news.

So the ball is in our court to make good news. The bottom line is sell more homes. Work the inventory down, get the good numbers reported in the press, drive people to your communities, sell more homes, get the inventory down, get the good numbers reported in the press drive people to your communities, sell more homes and on and on.

It is good to finally get some positive news from the residential sector! Hopefully the good press coverage will keep coming...and not just because firms are requesting it.

Hi, Always buy from a Builder who has a history. Flats made by Aditya Builders, Pune are good flats with quality construction. It's a good name in Pune. Regards, Nikhil
