Into The Mystic: Elkay Offers New Curves for the Kitchen

"Demand for the innovative concept was so overwhelming that we quickly incorporated the new design into our standard product offering," says Mike Gicela, Elkay manager of product planning for sinks. At $1,600, The Mystic might not be for everyone, but it certainly would make a splash in a custom home.
The dramatically curving sink measures 48 inches long but only 8 inches wide and slopes from a depth of 2 1/8 inches at the faucet to 4 1/2 inches at the drain. Because of its size and shape, The Mystic isn't a kitchen workhorse but lends itself to use as a kitchen island prep sink for interactive entertaining or as a bar focal point.
