Cracking the Codes, Online
February 1, 2002
Professional Builder
The effort to merge the three major building codes — BOCA (Building Officials and Code Administrators), ICBO (International Conference of Building Officials) and SBCCI (Southern Building Code Congress International) — under one umbrella, the International Code Council, moved forward in January. Builders, subcontractors and architects now can earn certification credits for all three codes and the American Institute of Architects on the same Web site.
The site, www.icccampus.org, replaces the online training offered by the three separate code organizations and offers more than 70 courses on a range of subjects.
Free demonstrations are available at www.icccampus.org.
