Cultured Stone, maker of veneers that mimic the look and feel of natural stone, has designed a program to help builders and architects specify fireplace designs.
The CD-ROM lets users select from 30 pre-configured, three-dimensional fireplace designs — controlling the surround, mantle and hearth configurations — and then choose the Cultured Stone style and color that best suits their needs.
The company also has updated its StoneCAD. Version 4.0 can be viewed without computer-aided design software. Improvements include a hatch-pattern installer, which can fill in the appropriate Cultured Stone or Cultured Brick pattern (in CAD style) onto an existing CAD drawing to make specifying and explaining how finished applications will look easier.
The program also features a photo gallery, installation and specification information, and product literature.
The fireplace CD-ROM and StoneCAD 4.0 are available through www.culturedstone.com.
