Rich Ohmann, vice president of Charlotte, N.C.-based St. Lawrence Homes, recently hired programmers to develop a site driven by the latest images, text and pricing directly from internal company systems. That way, says Ohmann, price and elevation changes can be made in real time across several new home locations in two markets.
Later, a local Web design firm, ‘Net by Design, took that real-time information a step further.
Today St. Lawrence’s sales representatives can build tailor-made brochures by pointing and clicking on the company home page. Any combination of renderings and specifications can be selected. From there, without additional software, the site re-formats the information for laser printing on pre-made, four-color paper stock.
