Bradenton, Fla., builder Pat Neal sold 71 semi-custom homes in 2001 for $50 million in revenue. This 3,080-square-foot Fairfield III model at his 1,226-acre University Park golf community averages $698,047 thanks to options and up-grades. The home fits on 80- and 90-foot lots with a depth of 125 feet. When Neal opened sales at University Park in 1992, the average sales price was $210,622 and the average base price was $180,000. The 1,200-home community now stands at 1,008 homes sold.
