Apparently 22 stories weren’t enough. Mukesh Ambani, chairman and director of Reliance Industries, and the world’s fourth richest person, is now the proud owner of a 27-story residence in Mumbai, India, Building Design and Construction [1] reported.
The “house,” named Antilia after the mythical island in the Atlantic Ocean, will be home to Ambani, his wife, their three children and 600 full-time staff. Some of the niceties include three helipads, several swimming pools, a movie theater and a six-story, 160-car garage.
Murkesh’s wife came up with the idea after visiting New York’s Mandarin Oriental. Chicago’s Perkins & Will, the hotel’s designers, based the new home on the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and included hydroponic gardens and open green space between many of the floors.
