[1]The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) have released Quality Control Guidelines for the Application of Asphalt Shingle Roof Systems [1]. The booklet is intended to provide guidance, based on technical knowledge from experienced asphalt shingle manufacturers and installers, for the on-site evaluation of asphalt shingle roof system applications.
The booklet provides visual examination evaluation criteria for a roof substrate surface, underlayment, drip edge, fasteners, asphalt shingles and flashings.
