The painted shingle exterior harmonizes with other homes in the existing neighborhood. The floor plan features a three-story tower that functions as a circulation hub for the rest of the living space. The plan addresses its corner location by pushing the tower back and surrounding it with a wrap-around porch. The first-floor entry and family room relate to the street via the porch. The second floor is the main living level, and its views are oriented toward the water. The master suite occupies the entire third floor and is designed to resemble a converted attic complete with exposed structural elements, varied roof forms, high and low plate lines, and dormer windows.
