The updated “CertainTeed Professional Guide to Siding Installation” video is now available, and for the first time is being offered in both DVD and VHS formats. The installation video provides a step-by-step approach to professional installation of vinyl and polymer siding, soffit and accessories and can help contractors earn professional credentials with CertainTeed Corporation.
“Vinyl siding is the most popular siding for new homes and re-siding projects; however, it must be installed properly to meet expectations,” says Walt Hoyt, Director of Marketing Communications for CertainTeed’s Siding Products Group. “Since we introduced our first installation video nearly 15 years ago, it has proven to be a valuable resource for our siding professionals.”
The new DVD format is broken into 14 segments or chapters, allowing viewers to quickly click on the desired content. For instance, viewers can skip the first three chapters “Introduction,” “Tool Review” and “Planning & Preparation” and go directly to “Basic Vinyl Carpentry Accessories.” The DVD can also be used on laptop computers, allowing building professionals to take the video to jobsites for a refresher course whenever necessary.
A comprehensive installation manual is also available, providing 128 pages of detailed installation instruction. Building professionals may obtain the video and installation manual from their local distributor or CertainTeed sales representative.
