Company: Case Design/Remodeling Inc. [1], Bethesda, Md. Designer: Tim Burch, Case Handyman Division Award: Regional Winner, 2004 Contractor of the Year Awards, Residential Exterior Specialty category |

| The original meeting about this award-winning project focused on discussing a low-maintenance concrete patio in the rear of the northern Virginia home. After discussing the possibilities, it was decided that a grade-level deck system would be the most feasible solution due to the falling grade from the house. Tim Burch, project designer with Case, suggested using low-maintenance decking and railing systems to achieve this objective, as well as allow for added design features such as multiple levels, column details and an arbor system. The result is a low-maintenance outdoor extension of the home that provides exciting design elements with functional gathering areas for all the client's needs. | |
