Kirei Board

Kirei Board offers a strong, lightweight, environmentally friendly substitute for a wood countertop. The material is made from reclaimed sorghum straw and held together by KR Board, a water-based, polymer-isocyanate adhesive, with no added formaldehyde. It has a number of applications, including wall covering, cabinetry, furniture and flooring, among others. Kirei Board sheets come in sizes of 6, 10, 20, and 30 millimeters; their weight ranges from 4.5-45 pounds.
