8 of the 10 turnaround towns are in Florida, signifying a new beginning for the state.

These towns are seeing new life breathed into them after being some of the hardest hit by the housing bust. Florida is an especially noteworthy contender after its cities experienced unusual foreclosure activity. Below are Realtor.com’s top ten turnaround towns and their median home prices.

  1. Miami –– Median home price: $185,000
  2. Phoenix –– Median home price: $129,000
  3. Orlando, Fla. –– Median home price: $145,000
  4. Fort Myers, Fla. –– Median home price: $115,000
  5. Sarasota, Fla. –– Median home price: $181,000
  6. Boise, Idaho –– Median home price: $120,000
  7. Naples, Fla. –– Median home price: $218,000
  8. Fort Lauderdale, Fla. –– Median home price: $198,000
  9. Lakeland, Fla. –– Median home price: $100,000
  10. Punta Gorda, Fla. –– Median home price: $124,000
