D.R. Horton enters new market in Columbus

D.R. Horton, the nation’s largest homebuilder, has begun building in Columbus, Ohio, according to the Ledger-Enquirer.

The company has begun constructing 20 homes in four developments. Another 20 lots are under option for purchase, with up to 300 more available on top of that, said D.R. Horton sales manager John Thompson.

D.R. Horton closed 18,239 home sales in the 12-month period ending March 31, racking up revenue of $4 billion. It operates in 72 markets and 26 states, with the prices for dwellings it constructs ranging from $90,000 to $700,000 nationwide.
