5 markets with the best home price increases

Zillow’s data shows that some housing markets are on the uptick

Fort Myers, Fla., has seen the biggest one-year home price gain.

 

Some housing markets are beginning to bounce back, according to data gleaned from Zillow.com and reported by CNN Money. Although home prices are down 4.4% nationwide this year, some markets are seeing very positive increases in home prices.

The markets with the best home price increases:

  1. Fort Myers, Fla., with a 5.1% increase and an average home value of $124,500
  2. Bay City, Mich., with a 4.6% increase and an average home value of $80,700
  3. Pittsburgh, Pa., with a 3.2% increase and an average home value of $110,700
  4. Destin, Fla., with a 2.9% increase and an average home value of $158,300
  5. Ann Arbor, Mich., with a 1.8% increase and an average home value of $169,800
