They should get rid of some of the rules regarding the first time home buyer -- we own a home that my son would like to buy and get the tax credit but because a family member owns the home they want to buy that disqualifies them for the 8000 credit. It makes no sense to me they will see the purchase from us and his name on the loan and he lives in the house. why penalize someone because they want to buy from a family member?

They should put in the bill that all homes to get a tax credit have to be Energy Star rated at a minimum in order to get the tax credit so we can put an end to the slapped together junk houses that have been being built by contractors that have sprung up out of the wood work. We have been seeing a lot of very poorly built homes that leak air and have very shoddy HVAC systems installed in our part of the country.
