Great article and info on Green gentlemen! Michael and Tom addressed all of Tom Swartz' quetions quite well.

Good comments from all. Regarding LEED for Homes, it does apply to gut remodels, but not partial renovation projects. USGBC, in conjunction with ASID is currently developing a toolkit for green remodeling projects and interiors, although there are no current plans for LEED certification for residential remodeling.
