Using third-party verifiers removes the bias that would be present if the home builders did it themselves. National Green Building Certification verifiers evaluate a home’s energy efficiency, water and resource conservation, use of sustainable or recycled products, indoor air quality, and lot design and development. If you’re an energy-efficient builder and you want your homes certified through the Research Center, visit www.nahbgreen.org.
The NAHB Research Center continues to seek interested, qualified individuals to become verifiers. All candidates must meet the pre-requisites, participate in training, and pass a accreditation test administered by the NAHB Research Center. To learn more about becoming a verifier, visit www.nahbgreen.org.
