Quick Tip

August 31, 1999

When ordering tiles for a remodeling project, order an extra box for the homeowners to keep in the basement or attic. Because a different run of the same pattern of tile can still have variations of color or texture, it’s difficult to match one order of tile with another. So, if a tile breaks, either during installation or years after the project is finished, the homeowners can replace a single tile without worrying about losing the integrity of their floor design.
