Warmboard replaces other "top of floor" panel systems with less material and fewer steps which saves labor and provides a more stable finished product. It also provides more heat pre square foot at lower water temperatures which is very important for overall system operating efficiency. It is a very good choice for new construction or substantial renovation.

The problem with Warmboard is price. At $170 for a 4' x 8' sheet, it's a hard sell to most consumers. Too bad the owner is trying to gouge those who would like to be "green". There is no better word than gouge for that price.

perhaps a different analogy could be employed? "The problem with those systems the Romans used was that they couldn't possibly heat the floor at a constant temperature, no matter how hard you beat the slaves," leaves a bit to be desired and totally detracts from a really interesting read and excitement about the possibilities. p-
