Recently made available in the U.S., Roxul’s Safe'n'Sound and Roxul ComfortBatt are made of stone wool, a combination of natural basalt rock and recycled slag, a mineral by product of smelted ore. The stone wool provides excellent thermal and acoustical insulation. Roxul stone wool insulation is non-combustible, water repellant, retains its shape (and R-value!) and can withstand temperatures up to 2150 F (1177 C). advertisement
