A new Colorado law requires roofing contractors to provide written agreements for residential roofing projects that cost over $1,000. The document must disclose the scope of work and its cost, as well as provide the contractor’s contact information. The contract should also inform homeowners of their right to cancel the job within 72 hours, or if their insurance claim for the repairs has been denied.
