California contractor may face criminal charges after worker killed in mud avalanche

A 37-year-old carpenter working in a 12-foot ditch was killed after it caved in, crushing him. The accident at a Milpitas, Calif. home work site occurred after the contractor ignored a stop work order issued by the city due to unsafe conditions. The contractor had its license supended and may face criminal charges.
