Right Angles

April 30, 2005

The ProSite Protractor condenses the process of creating miter cuts. This precision tool determines the angle for miter saw set-up. The ProSite Protractor functions on two scales: a red scale and a black scale. The arrows on the red scale highlight the angle for the miter joint while the black scale arrows display the angle for fitting a single workpiece to an angle.

The steps for incorporating the ProSite Protractor into your construction projects: (shown at right)

  1. Start by measuring the angle.
  2. Once the Protractor is in place, set the saw to lineup with the angle indicated by the red arrows.
  3. Cut the left and right angle for the miter
  4. The miter is precisely angled and ready to be installed.

This tool is designed for carpenters, plumbers and building trades who require accurate measuring and transfer of angles.
