Online Bookstore Ups Inventory
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has expanded its website for Home Builder Press. The site, at www.builderbooks.com, now contains more building-related resources to help those in the industry sharpen construction skills and increase business knowledge. Expanded descriptions and a table of contents help users locate what they are interested in from the more than 100 titles available. Sample chapters allow users to read part of a book before purchasing. The site also features an internal search engine that allows buyers to search for books by title, author or keywords.
Browsing through the titles is made easier by separating the site into categories. These include: business management, construction management, land development, safety and OSHA, legal issues, customer service, computer technology, remodeling, sales and marketing, home design, and resources for home buyers and home owners. The site is updated regularly to help builders stay up-to-date.
In addition to books, users may also shop for brochures, software and CD-ROMs. Purchases may be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week with a credit card through the site’s secure server software (SSL). Telephone orders may be taken during regular business hours. NAHB members receive discounts on all resources featured on the site, and non-members can find information on how to join at this site.
