Lumber Adds a Traditional Touch
Antique lumber can add authenticity to a historic remodel or lend character to any job. For more than 20 years, Vintage Lumber has been retrieving wood from barns and industrial buildings on the brink of destruction and remilling the antique wood into flooring and beams. Vintage Lumber recycles primarily Northern Appalachian hardwoods, which range from 70 to 200 years old. The limited supply of the wood and cost of processing also make this unique flooring more expensive than a comparable new product. The random-width flooring, which can measure up to 18 inches wide, costs between $4 and $15 a foot. For more information, visit Vintage www.vintagelumber.com or call (800) 499-7859.
